Originally from Brazil, Thaís grew up with her Father, an Orthopaedic Doctor and Surgeon, her Mother, a physiotherapist, and her sister. Thaís began her training as a classical ballerina at the age of 9 which led her to a professional ballet career at the age of 20.  During this time Thaís developed issues with her knee. At the age of 17, Thaís began training under her mentor and coach Sacha Svetloff. Sacha's approach to ballet was directed through anatomy and biomechanics. As a direct result of Sacha's training approach Thaís was able to dance until the age of 26, at which point the problems in her knee ended her professional career as a ballerina. With the medical slant of her family's dynamics, coupled with Sacha's teachings of the body, Thaís developed an interest and a keen insight into the interactions between biomechanics and how the body heals.

Thaís completed her Physical Therapy degree in 2005 at Universidade Paulista and worked at her family's clinic for more than 3 years before running her own business for almost a decade. Immediately after graduating, Thaís began studying manual therapy techniques to enhance her physiotherapy practice and knowledge. To this day, she has accumulated more than 50 course completion certificates. During this time, Thaís studied pilates and became a certified Stott Pilates Instructor in 2009, then getting her Rehab Pilates certification in 2011. Not only is Thaís's passion helping others, but she also feels the passion and drive to always improve and learn more. In 2015 she immigrated to Canada where she obtained a diploma in Massage Therapy from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy (CCMH). At the beginning of 2020 she began her role as a Lead Instructor at CCMH. Unfortunately because of COVID, that campus closed down, but this led Thaís to the opportunity which let her move to Canmore. Now a registered massage therapist with the Massage Therapists Association of Alberta, Thaís is working to grow her practice and family with her partner and their dog.
